Summer 2 Week 1
This week in Hawks we have been focusing on editing our hot writes that we created as part of our whole school hot write! We loved editing our hot writes and sharing them with our learning partners. In maths we have been finishing off our decimal learning and have shown our understanding and noticed how it related closely to our fractions learning!
We have enjoyed our PE sports day preparations and have enjoyed practising our athletics events. We also enjoyed diving back into our PSHE and music this week, focusing on our singing and healthy me.
This week we also had a class discussion about D-Day and what it was. We noticed there was a special clip on Newsround and wanted to learn more. We shared stories about our own families' experiences during WW2 and what they remembered.
In worship this week we spoke about how we should treat others and recapped our Anti-Bullying conversations. We shared what bullying was and how we help children at ByBrook Valley if they are being bullied but also if they have been the person doing the bullying. We discussed times when we had felt upset by other people's actions and what we did in those times of need. We also remembered our Be brave, Be kind, Value everyone motto.
Star of the Week:
There was no celebration assembly this week due to school activities.
Reminders:
- Next week Netball club starts on Thursday.
- Reading records and books into school each day please.

Have a lovely weekend!
