Autumn 1 week 2
A super second week for the Owls. Our Owls began having lunches at school this week.
We learnt about boundaries and what to say if someone does something we don't like. Owls love singing The Boundaries song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSFvJbSQdA4) to help us remember the words we can use, and we talked about the importance of speaking to one of our trusted adults.
Owls loved their listening welly walk. They listened carefully to the different sounds they could hear. Owls represented the sounds by drawing chalk pictures with their talk partners. We were so impressed with their sharing!
The children learnt an animal dance in PE this week. They learnt different ways of moving and how to safely navigate space in the hall.
Your child will have brought home a 'bedtime book' and a reading record this week. A letter to explain the 'bedtime book' and early reading will have accompanied this. We hope that you enjoy sharing this book at home with your child.
A massive thank you to Sophie's Mummy for all her help in our outside area on Friday! The owls loved helping and were fascinated by all the new plant facts that Sophie's Mummy shared with them. It was a delight to see their enthusiasm and interest.
Have a lovely weekend
