Autumn 1 Week 8

This week we started our week with the dance festival! We loved performing our dance at school! We performed our own dance to the song 'I'm Still Standing'. We created all the moves ourselves and have been practising lots! Hawks were amazing! Well done Hawks!

This week we have loved practising our art skills and have been working on our sketching techniques. We have learnt about different shading techniques and put them into practice when drawing items in our classroom.

We have also spent a whole morning conducting our science experiment! We were interested to find out if we could change states of matter and found that we could using temperature! We melted ice and turned a solid into a liquid, boiled water to see gas and melted a solid (chocolate)! We finally enjoyed our chocolate on top of a biscuit (so that it didn't go to waste!).

Reminders for next term:

- PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday next term.

- Please bring in coats, water bottles and reading books/ reading records each day.

- There is no set home learning for half term, but please do lots of moving, reading, exploring, creating and having time to rest and relax!

I want to thanks Hawks for such a great term, full of learning! Rest up well, as next term we will have lots more to learn and celebrate (including our christmas play!).

Have a lovely half term!
