Autumn 2, week 3
Owls loved using all of their senses to explore the snow on Tuesday! All the children were very eager to get outside and experience the feeling of snow on them. We used adjectives to describe the snow and had lots of fun singing some snow-related songs.
Owls have continued their learning about celebrations and have learnt all about the festival of light. We carefully created Rangoli patterns with sequins, pasta and lentils. The children enjoyed tasting some Diwali food and particularly loved popadoms! In maths this week we have been learning about addition. Owls were fantastic at combining two groups to find the total and have been touch counting to ensure that every item has been counted.
Congratulations to our star of the week, Matilda. Matilda has been consistently trying her best in our Sounds-Write sessions and is always so kind to her peers. Well done Matilda!
