Support pack
I have created a pack to support you if you are concerned that your child is finding areas of learning difficult. These daily activities will give your child an opportunity to practise the areas of learning that may be more of a challenge for them.
Fine motor skills
If your child is finding it tricky to hold a pencil or form their letters, then daily dough disco will really help. They find this activity really fun and it is fantastic at helping to build their little hand muscles.

I have also attached some other fine motor activities that you could try.
Phonics/Reading
I have included all the phase 2 and phase 3 sounds. If your child is having difficulty segmenting or blending encourage them to make words within the phonic sets. The words they make can be real or nonsense. It is a great activity to improve their oral blending skills and sound identification.

Set 2-i,n,m,d
Set 3-g,o,c,k
Set 4- ck, e, u, r

You can find videos on You Tube that model the correct pronunciation of each phoneme. We like ‘Mr Thorne does phonics’ it’s a fun one to watch with your child, try out Mr Thorne and Geraldine giraffe!
Daily reading will also encourage and develop your child's segmenting and blending skills. Even if it is just 5 minutes a day, this will really impact their phonetic knowledge and understanding.
Number
We want the children to be confident with numbers to 20. if your child does not recognise all their numbers to 20 then these activities will support their understanding.
ordering numbers to 20 (see attached sheet)
Topmarks have lots of great games that encourage recognition https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Search.aspx?q=numbers%20to%2020
