Autumn 1 Week 4
This week we have loved continuing learning about the world in Geography. We have been focusing on learning all about the globe and lines of longitude and latitude. We explored what the northern and southern hemispheres are and where the equator line is.
In maths, we have been finishing our unit of place value and have been focusing on thousands, hundreds, tens and ones, ready for our next unit of learning which is addition and subtraction.
In science, we have been enjoying exploring states of matter and this week we looked at whether or not those states of matter can change!
In English this week we have been focusing on our instruction writing and finished our week by writing a set of whole class instructions. We did such amazing writing that our whole class ended up in the Golden Book! We had our own class certificate and we were celebrated for our writing in assembly!
European Languages Day:
This week in school, Miss Body organised a European Languages Day for the whole school. We were set the country of Greece to learn about and we loved creating posters all about what we learnt. We also had many different visitors in to help us learn about different languages. We got to experience Greek, Spanish, German, Czech and French! We had such a wonderful time and learnt lots!
Star of the week:
Our star of the week this week is ... Amelia! Amelia has put so much effort into her learning and writing and is a great role model within class. Well done Ameila!
