Autumn 2 Week 1
This week we have been recapping our + and - learning from last term. We have been using those operations to solve tricky reasoning problems and challenges. We have also been diving into our first narrative unit in English and have started to look at how we use speech correctly in our writing.
This week we have also decided our roles for our Christmas play! We are already well underway with rehearsals and have been sending home scripts to practice. Please make sure that you are practising at home as we only have 4 weeks to go!
Athlete Visitor-Kirsty Way
This week we were lucky enough to have a very special visitor come to school! We were very excited to welcome Kirsty Way, a GBR Double Mini Trampolinist, to explain all about her achievements and accomplishments. We were very inspired by Kirsty and her career and even got to complete some circuits with her as a class!
British Values at BBV:
Each week in Hawks we focus on one of our British Values to ensure that we really know what they are and how to demonstrate them. This week our focus has been on tolerance. We discussed what we thought tolerance meant and how we could show that in the classroom, around school and on the playground. We celebrated when others were tolerant and reminded ourselves to show tolerance throughout our day. Star of the week:
Our star of the week this week is ... Rebecca! Rebecca has shown such a wonderful attitude in her learning and has been impressing us with her writing and maths! Well done Rebecca!
Reminders for next week:
- PE days are Tuesday and Friday.
- Please bring in reading records each day and read 5x per week at home.
- Home learning is sent out each Friday. Please check bags for this! This term I have also sent out Christmas Play scripts, please read these at home too!
Have a nice weekend :).
