Autumn 2 Week 3
This week, on Monday, we enjoyed a wonderful musical session by Music for Miniatures. We had a show that celebrated woodwind and brass instruments, and we had to decide which was best! We had a great time dancing, listening and joining in with all the performance!
In maths, we have started to focus on diving deeper into understanding the timetables. We have been identifying patterns and rules in the timetables, before we move onto our multiplication unit. In English we have continued to develop our narrative writing, in particular our descriptive writing of characters.
This week we have been putting in a lot of effort into creating our props for our play! The stage has gone up this week and we have one more whole week of rehearsals before the real thing! We can't wait to show you all!
Forest School:
This week we enjoyed our first Forest School session of the year with Mr Summers. We enjoyed finding lots of interesting natural objects and creating our own creature dens. We also discovered a tiny mouse that lives in the bush and Hawks class enjoyed some nature watching, staying very still to see the little mouse pop out of his home!
British Values at BBV:
Each week in Hawks we focus on one of our British Values to ensure that we really know what they are and how to demonstrate them. This week our focus has been on the rule of law! We have been discussing how the rules in this country and at our school are there to keep us safe and for that reason it is important that we respect them so that we can all be safe and happy in school. Star of the week:
Our star of the week this week is ... Sophie! Sophie has put so much effort into learning her very difficult lines for the Christmas Play! Well done Soph! You are a star!
Reminders for next week:
- PE days are Tuesday and Friday.
- Please bring in reading records each day and read 5x per week at home.
