Ospreys have been working hard this week on a range of lessons.

In Maths, we have started to learn about perimeter. We are exploring what this means and how we can measure and calculate the perimeter of a shape.

In English, we are continuing our learning about giraffes to be able to write a non-chronological report. This week we watched a video all about giraffes and made notes on four areas. We then focused on appearance and wrote a basic paragraph which we then improved by adding better adjectives and using different sentence openers.

In RE, we have been learning about Holy week and what happened to Jesus during that week and how important this week is to Christians.

In History, we have been learning about hieroglyphics and why the Ancient Egyptians used them. We also learnt about the discovery of the Rosetta stone, which enabled Historians to decipher the hieroglyphis.

The children enjoy basketball with Mr Peters and yoga with Chie.

We really enjoyed watching the year 4 class assembly on Friday and learning a Viking song.
