Spring 2 Week 4
It's been a great week with glorious weather.
Ospreys have been working hard as usual this week.
In maths, we have been continuing to learn about the perimeter and how to calculate it. We have been using our addition and multiplication skills to support us.
In English, we have been writing about the habitat and diet of the giraffe as part of our topic on non-chronological reports. The children have been trying to use different adjectives and sentence openers. Next week we will be finalising our reports.
In RE, we have learnt about the Holy Week and how the disciples, the people and Mary felt on each of the special days.
In science, we made our own fossils as part of our topic on rocks. The kids really enjoyed doing this.
Today has been red nose day and maths day. It was great to see the children all wearing something red! For maths day, we have been making bar charts, pictures out of shapes, times table practice with a different level and using multiplication to colour a picture. We also took part in a maths escape room. The children were put into groups, and they had to work out the clues to be able to open the padlocks. They managed to open 18 in the time allocated. They worked really hard together with their teams. It was great fun!
The children have been practising well for the Easter Service in a couple of weeks.
Please continue to read 5x a week as part of home learning.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Boddy :)
