Summer Term 2 Week 4

Art week!

We have had a fantastic week full of creativity!

The children have all had the chance to create a piece of artwork which is linked to the theme 'What By Brook Valley means to me' for By Brook Valley's 25th birthday! These pieces of artwork will be displayed on our art gallery night on the 10th June for friends and family to see, as well as have an opportunity to buy!

To start the week off, Kestrels tested out their drawing skills. They used art pencils to create different patterns, shades and shapes. These techniques helped them further on in the week when they had to use charcoal and white chalk to complete a black and white picture featuring themselves.

We have been lucky enough to have small groups of children go out of class to experience an art workshop. During this, they created different animals to feature in our new displays.

We also had fun painting with watercolour and drawing the By Brook Valley school badge.

We had our second forest school this week! The children explored the outside area and created wonderful pictures using natural materials. They all looked amazing!

Thank you for another great week, Kestrels.
