Kestrels have loved practising their dance in PE this week, ready for the Dance Festival on Monday morning. They have worked so hard and I cannot wait to see their performance!

In English, after planning and practising our instructions verbally, we wrote up our own set of instructions on 'How to find Kestrels Classroom'. The children made sure they set their instructions out clearly with numbered points, used time conjunctions and imperative verbs.

We have enjoyed exploring changes in Yatton Keynell for our Geography lessons. This week we focused on 'How has Yatton Keynell changed over time'. We looked at current maps and maps from 1898 and then compared buildings from then and now.

Reminders:

• PE days are Monday and Wednesday.
• Please bring in reading books and reading records every day and read 5 times a week at home. Remember an adult needs to sign the reading records.
• Spellings will come home on Monday. Please practice these every day at home ready for our spelling test on Fridays.
• The last day of Term 1 is Wednesday 23rd October.
