Autumn 1 week 3

Well done to the Owls for another wonderful week.

The children have coped amazingly well with their first week of full days. We are so proud of them!

This week we have been focusing on the story Owl Babies. In the story, the owls were frightened but felt better when their Mummy came home. We discussed what makes us feel better if we are worried or frightened.

We began our Sounds Write phonic sessions on Monday. The Owls did a fantastic job at saying the sounds and manipulating them to build words. This week and next week we will be looking at the sounds s, m, a and t.

On our welly walk on Friday we picked apples from our apple orchard on the field. We use our problem-solving skills to discuss how we could reach the apples. The children are very excited about baking an apple cake next week!

Well done to our star of the week....Oton!  Oton has been a responsible, respectful and ready Owl. He has also been incredibly kind to his peers. Well done!

Have a lovely weekend
