Autumn 1, Week 5

Another wonderful week in Owls!

The children have been fantastic at practising for the harvest festival. The children have been creating harvest art and cannot wait to share their creations with you. We are very excited to see as many of you as possible there next week at 9:30 on Thursday at By Brook Pre School for our Harvest Festival Celebration! If your child has brought home a line, please can you encourage them to practise saying it aloud. This will really help with their confidence.

On our welly walk today, we discussed the seasons and looked for signs of autumn. The children found lots of autumn treasures and enjoyed ticking them off their autumn checklist with a friend.

Our book this week has been Stick Man. We were inspired to create some stick people with natural objects and used our knowledge of sounds to label our creations. Owls were fantastic at using the initial and final sounds.

In maths, we have been ordering numbers and recognising different representations of numbers.

Well done to our star of the week Emily. Emily has been giving her best and trying exceptionally hard in our Sounds-Write sessions.

Have a lovely weekend
