What another busy week! Here are some highlights from the week:

In English this week, Falcons have been story detectives! We found out that stories usually have a problem and then a resolution. As a class, we wrote our own story and used lots of story language. Our story was about an angry dragon! Falcons thought carefully about a character for their own story and used adjectives to describe them. 

Falcons impressed me with their addition skills in maths this week. We solved addition word problems and used a part -whole model to help us add 2 numbers together.

Falcons learnt about the /er/ sound in Sounds Write. We found out that there are 4 different spellings (ir, ur, or, er) and the children have already started to use them in their writing. 

In art this week, Falcons looked closely at Tudor houses and sketched some in their drawing books. I was very impressed with the detail that the children included.
