Autumn Term 1 Week 4
Road safety!
In week four we had a special visitor who taught the children practically about road safety and everything we need to know to be safe when walking safely. All children answered questions about what they already do when they walk on the pavement and cross roads as well as learn some new tips on how to be safe!
We had so much fun on European languages day! Falcons represented Iceland...we learnt how to say hello in their language, and we said this to the rest of the school in assembly. We also enjoyed painting the Iceland flag with cotton buds, which we also got to show in the assembly. I was really impressed with how much time the children put into these. We were very lucky to have three visitors who taught us some new languages! Falcons loved learning about different animals in German and French as well as learning some keywords in Spanish!
We have started our new book in English, which is Beegu! We have been thinking about adjectives to describe how Beegu is feeling throughout the book and writing sentences to show how he is feeling changes. We have learnt to use the word 'and' in our sentences to make them longer.
Have a lovely rest of your week!
