Summer 2 Week 3

What a great week we have had!

We were so lucky with the weather for Sports day on Monday. I am so proud of all the children for taking part and cheering each other on. It was a great morning. Well done to Biddestone for winning!

We have been learning about time in Maths this week. We made our own clocks and practiced how to tell the time to 5 minutes and 1 minute past the hour.

In English, we continued being journalists and planned and wrote for our own Newspaper Report about the Iron Man being captured.

In History, we looked at what Chippenham looked like in AD878 when King Alfred the Great was there, and wrote a diary from the viewpoint of an Anglo-Saxon child.

We learnt about nouns in French this week and continued to practice saying hello and goodbye, asking and saying our age and where we live.

The colour run on Friday was so much fun.  We all had a great time and were allowed to run around twice! We certainly looked very colourful afterwards.

Star of the Week this week is Rebecca. Rebecca has shown resilience and perseverance in her writing this week. Well done Rebecca!

Please can children read 5x a week and record in their reading records which are checked on Friday. This is part of their homework, so it is important that it is completed.

Thank you for all your support.

Miss Boddy :)
